As it says - math for animation
using Lingo. A really great (and very large) site containing
tutorials and examples of how to do animation programmatically.
One of the very first Director
support sites out there - "On the web since August 1994 - Director
3.x". Everything from a great library of code samples to tips,
links, tutorials, the Director FAQ and _much_ more.
This is James Newton's site that
contains a wealth of information on behaviors, 3D, math and
more. Has a bunch of code samples, and demos as well. If you
didn't know - James has written several books on Director as
well.
CanDo is a multimedia company located in Ireland,
that's a strong proponent of 3D. If you're looking for their
Shockwave exporter script for max and Plasma, you can get it
here.
Robert Tweed's site - here you
can find a Lingo implementation of Blowfish (lingofish), along
with a base64 encoding routine that'll allow you to send encoded
strings to a CGI.
Run by Chuck Neal, MediaMacros
contains a huge repository of code from behaviors to movie
scripts, to parent scripts - plus demos, games and more. They
even have a couple of nice Xtras they sell (like ADOXtra).
The Director Online Users Group.
One of the finest Director support sites around you will find
tons of great articles, tutorials, interviews and more. There's
even a classifieds area where you can post, and search, for
Director jobs.
If you're looking for information
on getting Shockwave to communicate online via CGI and other
means then this is the site to go to. From ASP to PHP they
cover it all.
Paul Catanese's excellent website.
Paul is the author of Director's Third Dimension - Fundamentals
of 3D programming in Director. On the site you'll find some
great code, samples and more.
A nice site containing the Quirk list, that lists
many known Director issues, and the Mile High Table of Products
- a huge list of Xtras and other goodies for Developers.
Lucas is a great
developer who has done some amazing games for the likes of
the Cartoon Network and LEGO. Check em out in the Demos section
of his site.

Gun Too Much is a beautiful 3D game and really shows what you
can accomplish with a little work. This game got turned into
The Red Corona which is the same, but much more developed.

Road Series - the nation's largest mountain bike racing series.
I do this series with my cousin and Uncle - It's not only
great fun but you get to see some of the best trails in the
state
- and
it's
all
offered
up by a great group of people.
The Milwaukee WORBA chapter -
run by Marty Weigel (Hey,Beerman!) - they put on the Haye's
Disc Brakes Time Trials every Wednesday night (during the summer)
at Crystal Ridge ski area.
Doug is one of the best riders
in the midwest, and a funny writer to boot. He rides for Trek,
and won the Expert division of WORS this year, along with a
record setting win at Chequamegon.
Go here to see actual video of
what it's like on the farm nowadays. There's no streaming option,
so you'll have to download it but it's worth the wait. It's
really something all you meat eaters should have a look at.
